Glad you are stretching- hoping that it eases the pain. I highly recommend yoga. It is easily adaptable to every fitness level- and super for stretching and balance. For me, it has been a real life changer. I managed to fall on the ice a couple weeks ago and to fall right on my wrist with all my weight. Ended up with a sprain- but I would be money I would have broken a bone, if it weren't for yoga. Lots of wrist strength exercises involved... Looking forward to getting most of my exercise in the garden, soon!

OK, now I've got "the exercize for arthritic knees" banner up on my computer now too. some of the word associations they make are pretty funny.
Anyway, Steve, I generally find that my worst RA flares don't last too many days; I hope yours are the same. I want to just mention that since RA is an "inflamatory disease" it would make sense that bringing down the inflamation would help. I have been taking capsules of ginger and of turmeric for about 3 months for that purpose, and I find I have less pain with my RA. The old toe joint that used to throb and scream for no reason hasn't made more than a sqweak in quite a while. I can even stand on my tip-toes, kinda, on that foot. And, *bonus* turmeric is now being recommended to stop hair loss. I can see a noticeable difference in this area too.
Doctors are now saying that inflamation is pretty much the root of lots of diseases, including heart problems, so it is a good idea to work on lowering it, for anyone, not just RA sufferers. I'll get off my soapbox now.

That's interesting So Lucky. I did some reading about turmeric several months ago because of something Hoodat had posted.
It seems to be wonderful stuff. I finally ordered some capsules and started taking it this week. The ginger is antiinflammatory too?

I am a post-RA sufferer, So Lucky.

It nearly did me in when I was about 30 years old. The flare-ups had nearly ceased by the time I was 40. Now, I just live with the results.

I really gave that sore hand a work out, today! Seems to be in pretty darn good shape this evening :). I think I'll take some Tylenol, tho'. I've got a lot of sore muscles!

Marshall, my MD has something called "MyChart" that just showed up since January, when I'd seen him last. They've even got a remote bloodpressure/pulse cuff and a thing for the finger that measures blood O2. My test was online and there was something in the brochure they gave me about "see what your doctor sees." I hope he sees a lot more than I do with this service . . . still, it was a long, long time coming! Glad to be able to make appointments by email, at least.

I'm wondering how I'm going to be when Miranda comes on in the morning.

It occurred to me (after I'd shared some information with a friend about him missing a ukelele concert on YouTube ;)) that Miranda must be on YouTube.

Sure enuf! And, just a few days ago she put some things on. I decided to link to the Pain Relief one. I just followed along sitting here in the south window. Maybe it will be something for you to enjoy, too!

If you click the "ClassicalStretchTET" on the byline, you can see Miranda's little workout on slenderizing your waist.

:D
