Just showing off this big ol' radish I pulled up the other day (these were the last of my low tunnel radishes from this winter). I thought maybe it was a turnip at first! It was too hot, so I tossed it out, but the little ones were good. :)

Wow! that's one big radish :D. I always try to get radishes planted early enough so they won't get too hot or spicy a flavor. I think their are varieties that stay sweet even if the weather gets too warm for the radishes.

:drool It'll be awhile yet before I can even plant my radishes. Can't wait. My son and my dad would have fought over your "hot one" . They like them like that as long as they are not woody. Thanks for sharing and reminding us that spring is on the way! :rainbow-sun

When I tried to eat the really large radishes I got a stomach upset because they were so hot. never again.
