More gourd questions

Chances are that the poor fruit set is due either to not enough female blossoms, or to poor pollination. The number of bees and/or flowers in the vicinity may be irrelevant, since gourds are mostly pollinated at night. My vines usually flower for a period of time before setting, then set large numbers... which is not unusual for any member of the gourd family.

"Most pollination is completed by insects at night on white flowering gourds [Hard-Shells]."
