I accidentally uprooted a morning glory plant that was growing up a basket handle in my garden. When I realized what I had done, I stuck the root inside dirt in the basket and kept it well watered. At first the leaves looked good, but then a few of them shriveled up, and the vine now appears to have a kink in it and more of the leaves are looking sketchy. The big leaf at the base of the plant and one little leaf above it still look good. They are below the kink. Do you think the plant might make it and go on to branch and thrive if I cut the vine right below the kink?
