A MIRACLE!!!
While out pulling dead plants out of the MG pot (about half of them) I was astonished to see one of the plants has a pod, a pretty well developed one. How I missed it I do not know. It manifestly has only a single seed in it, and the plant itself is in such sorry shape I rather doubt it will or can make any more this year (I fully expect it to keel over as soon as the pod is ripe) but one seed is a heck of a lot better than zero.
As a bonus it looks like one of the other adzuki plants is making a few flowers, so that is two producers this year (we're getting pretty late into the season, so barring having a winter that is very delayed, I rather doubt any ones that might flower after this would have time to reach maturity.)
