Ariel,

Your birds must be about the same age as mine.. We bought our chicks back in late May (2 orps and 2 araucana's) and none are laying yet.. I keep telling the kids anytime within the next few weeks.. I've been saying that for a month.. ;)

Yours are quite a bit younger, actually. Mine hatched February 24th...:/

Nice pic of your hubby feeding chickens. They have a way of growing on a person. DW was the same way about them, but finally said okay 4 years after I built a coop. Now you would think it was her idea.

On the old farmsteads money from eggs sold was traditionally the wifes' money to do with as she pleased. that's where the term "butter and egg money" (meaning money outside the budget) comes from.

I keep my egg money for myself, but it usually goes back into feeding "my" chickens! :lol:
