A Vancouver. Wa. High School musical production of " Shreck the Musical ". My wife and I took 2 of our grandkids 7 & 9 ( their parents tagged along too )to dinner at Red Robin then to the musical that started at 7:00 PM and lasted about 3 hours including a long intermission to buy junk food as a fund raiser. Most of the little kids in the audience were fast asleep by 8:30 but our 2 lasted to the end as they were very interested in the show. After the show ended , they said that it was " pretty good. There were about 50 High school and Jr. High school kids in the cast and they put on quite a performance in the very crowded High School Auditorium. The High School skinny kid ( a Junior ) that played the donkey was well over 6' tall and about 160 lbs. was by far the most talented . He had a number of gymnastic moves and splits that showed off his limberness, his singing voice was great, and he ended the performance by playing the guitar very well. The 15 member High School band was way too loud as we often could hardly hear some of the singing from the performers. All in all , we had a good time.
