That's pretty hard to do in some places, business ethics are not what they used to be. A reputable mechanic is about as hard to find as a gold nugget, and just as valuable.

@Nyboy did you say the engine is running fine or does that need work? i have a solution to the paint/colors that might be much cheaper. how about vinyl wrapping it in the colors you want! or you could also make it look like it is rust camouflage.

Don't laugh some totally restored trucks that sold for big bucks had faux rust paint jobs. I am fine with how engine runs my nephew feels different about it. Carol I wish you where closer, it is very hard to find a good shop. Funny thing is one of my clients is a very famous car restorer. I was told by another client people will drop $80,000 on a car he restored without ever seeing the car. There is no way I could afford him, I have kind of dropped hints and picked his brain but never any offer of a discount.
