My greenhouse update - with pics!

We were out of town for a week, and I couldn't BELIEVE the size of my tomatoes when we got back, so I have to post pictures! The snap peas are HUGE too, they've got the sunniest spot in the greenhouse and they LOVE it. We've harvested tons of cilantro, lots of lettuce, and a couple zucchinis already.

2 big boy tomatoes hanging upside down, and one of those strawberry tomatoes (tomatoberry??) (which has little green tomatoes!!!) growing upright behind them:

The 'garden bench' in the greenhouse (which is FULL, does anyone ever leave themselves room to WORK there???) with the HUGEST big boy tomato, and mixed herb pots, some peonies and hot peppers on the bench:

Your first greenhouse is working out well for you! And, rolling up the sides must be doing enough for ventilation.

Seems like your plants are on their way to having ripe tomatoes. In Montana, Yay !

The plastic on my tunnel just came off on Sunday. One year, it stayed on until July but usually, I don't leave it this late. There were some "semi-tropicals in it that year.

Is your plastic film holding up? Here, there were a few breaks around the window and door frame already :/.

I used to expect construction-grade plastic to hold together thru the winter AND the spring but I just put this up in March. Don't think it could have made it this long if the plastic had been exposed thru the winter.

Wonderful!!! The greenhouse is the perfect place for the topsy-turvy idea! I will try that next year. Anytime I have tried one outside- the wind always wrecks it. Enjoy your greenhouse gardening!

Steve - plastic is holding up great, the only holes i've noticed are ones i put in it accidentally, whoops! Ventilation seems great, its been very breezy lately. And cool again :/

Lesa - i had topsy turvy tomatoes last year, and one got snapped off right at the base by the wind. And i have one outside the greenhouse this year, and it is a tiny fraction of the size of the others!! Maybe only like an eighth as big as the ones inside!!my whole garden space will be inside plastic next year, it will be well worth it! :rainbow-sun
