When my kids were young, I left them in their father's care and went to the grocery store. I came home to my son having a fat lip and half of a permanent tooth. They were playing with a BB gun. The story I got was that my daughter, then about 6 years old, shot at a stump, close range. The BB bounced off the stump and hit son, 10 years old, in the mouth. Next morning we were at the dentist getting it bonded.

Finally, years later, the real truth came out. Daughter deliberately shot her brother in the mouth with the BB gun. Big brother lied for her so she wouldn't get a whipping. But she did get her BB gun taken away. She cried over that.

Now if that's not big brother love, I don't know what is.

Wow Bay I bet no one messes with your daughter. No dog that hit me belongs to another client, my dentist is away, good thing is she will have a large bill and is open to barter.

ouch! good thing on the barter prospects. i hope something can be done, i know they are coming up with new things all the time.

some people certainly do lose when it comes down to genetics and teeth. a friend of mine has pretty much lost her entire lower jaw from bone disease of some kind. of course it did not help that she smoked. no teeth left at all.

with Mom's bone graft and implant the dentist and oral surgeon said to keep an eye on things and report any problems as soon as she noticed them. the sooner caught the better. it has been several years now and no problems.

I've noticed the bad teeth in the UK also and the staining, which must be from the constant tea drinking. What's funny is the first thing they think is strange about Americans is that we don't have standard, free health care provided by the government, nor do we want it. They are vastly confused by that, it seems.

I think if I had to explain it to them I'd utilize a hand mirror.
