Thank you all so much for your support. She was so very special to me. I do have another sweet girl - a chocolate lab. She is the love of my live too. I'll never be without a dog; they are such incredible creatures and have so much love to give.

In between tears, I did manage to pull up all my tomatoes before it starting storming. We needed the rain so much.

"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every time a new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a peice of their heart, If I live long enough , all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are." ~~ Unknown ~~

So sorry to hear about your lose. Goldens are the greatest, Big Hugs...

I am so sorry you lost your friend and companion. Our 14 year old Lab died the week of Christmas and it broke our hearts. our DD and DSIL adopted a Lab mix about 6 months old the day after Christmas for us. So we start over again with a goofy gangly bumbling puppy that is now the size of a calf. You get a lot of family history wrapped up in a dog and it is like the passing of an era, a chapter in the book of life that has been written on your heart. :hugs

Carol, I have that quote on my pintrest board and I love it.

Everyone always thought Mollie was a mini Golden - she is actually a Cocker Spaniel and Pomeranian mix. She was my beautiful baby.

baymule - those are beautiful words and so true.

Thanks everyone.
