He's gorgeous!

How was his rate of growth since he never stopped growing! Is the doe unrelated?

I couldn't keep track of his growth vey well since he hated to be picked up but it was very fast. He came from Texas and you know what they say,"Everything's big in Texas".
The doe is related but not too closely. In humans I guess you'd call them cousins. Inbreeding and line breeding aren't that much of a problem for rabbits. You can usually do ten or so inbreedings before you begin to have problems.

I asking because I'd keep a daughter back and do a father x daughter breeding to capitalize on his size & girth. Is the litter pretty consistent in size? Or are you getting a variety of sizes?

Regardless he's a keeper in my book.

They are pretty consistent in growth but oddly the ones that grow slowly almost always turn out to be blacks. I've been watching for a pure blue doe but so far all of the blues have been bucks. I do have broken blue does but no self blues.

I adore the Rex!!!

Reminds me of Oreo. My little bugger is easy to handle, and glad to held. I keep him in a rather small cage in the house, but he wonders freely indoors. :)
