Congrats on the new addition to your art collection @Nyboy , even though it's a Winter scene, it's beautiful!

I was thinking about this conversation as I ran across something on CL today, how you should chose art that you find appealing to look at. I am partial to folk art, among others, but occasionally I find something that's a little too folksy ...

My most priceless artwork was drawn by my then 20 something son when he was a mechanic at the bus garage. I found it rolled up in my work mail slot one day. :) That is him going duck hunting, Dimples and all. It just makes me smile when I look at it. When we had our house fire it was only taped to the wall and got a bit sooty. I made them take it and clean it as best they could. I them matted and framed it. It hangs in the master Bedroom where I see it 1st thing every morning. :) View attachment 9137

Carol post a photo of him, lets compare to his self portrait.
Here he is about 2 years ago, still looks the same, only he has a REAL Short buzz cut now.
