I neglected to mention:

DD borrowed my other drill about 3 weeks ago.

Did I mention that DD is the one who drafted me into building this fence? If I can limp over there with some things to do, pieces and parts, I can get my drill outta her house. She has today off but I don't have a key. Besides, her new Labrador would probably kill me if I went inside to get it.

Tell DD to give it back and to take her Lab to obedience school.

That's right, digitS'! Family dogs all have to appreciate and allow entrance to Dads and Granddads. That's a rule somewhere, I'm sure.

She's getting used to me.

The first meeting, she could have cared less who I, or anyone else, was. The second meeting, she thought I was gonna cause trouble and she'd have to rip my arms and legs off. Third meeting, she did a little huffing and then went bouncing across the yard, playing with a squeaky toy.

But, realize that she hasn't seen me once inside the (her) house.

Try putting some soap on the screws next time makes it easier especially when using a screw driver.
