How about getting some of that plastic fencing type stuff (comes in rolls) and tacking it up somehow on the trailer and then let vines run up, I too like the idea of produce, you can always do morning glories too, they'll cover pretty fast.

I know this is an older topic but I wanted to say that if you plant morning glory it will cover the trailer and it will spread and come back from seed every year. I am trying to get rid of it this year after having it for a few years. It is a super fast grower and spreads like crazy. Very pretty but too much work for my smaller garden. If you had a bunch of space it may not be so much of a problem.
