She is precious and such a lovely name. I will add you all to my nightly prayers. I am certian she will do well and be home snug in your arms very soon. Hugs...
Glad you had your baby and wish you the best. Good thing her condition was caught so quickly so that now it can be fixed. I have a preschooler named Savannah and it is such a lovely name. Planted my butternut squash seeds and thought of you and your soup!
Hope you come back to us soon, missed you.
Thanks guys. Yeah, she's certainly up to a good fighting weight. Today's her surgery, 2:30pm. Once that's over, it should be cruise control the rest of the way. I can't wait to get home...
Lesa, I'm really going to try to pace myself on the garden this year, but it's hard! With my firstborn, I had already planted a big garden in the month or two before she was born and of course physically I felt up to keeping it afterward, but lil' miss had other plans! I'd put her in her pack'n play out there with me and she'd just cry the whole time. Weeding was good stress therapy though!
This time I have 2 raised beds about 3x18 that I'll put a variety of things in and try to keep it to that. I'll have dh plant all the corn he wants and maybe some melons and winter squash in the big garden. Things that mostly take care of themselves. He's not much of a green thumb, but he sure likes the fresh corn. If nothing else, I'll fallow it with a cover crop and have an even better garden for 2013 I hope.
I'm glad they have the free wi-fi up here. When things slow down a bit, hopefully here in the next few days, I'm going to try to catch up on some long overdue emails and stuff. I am also glad to see so many familiar faces still here on the board as well as many new ones too! This forum and my blog are the two things I miss most about having internet. Now facebook...that I could do with out. Ha.
We had our surgery yesterday and it went much smoother and quicker than expected. They patched her right up (opened the valve) and found no other structural abnormalities, PTL!! She's got somewhere between a week to two weeks in recovery and then I get to take my little Cupcake home. They said she should have a pretty much normal life and can play sports and such. We'll have to come back for a valve replacement surgery when she's 15 or so, but they are currently perfecting a new technology to do it thru another cath procedure instead of the usual open-heart surgery. Surely in 15 years, they'll have it down pat.
Thank you everybody for your kind thoughts and prayers!
So glad you had a chance to stop by and share the picture. Now you go home and rest and get her growing strong. She'll be out in the garden with you in no time. :weight
