You do seem to have your work cut out for you. Luckily, most of what you will be doing is cosmetic not structural (unless you planned to move or add a bathroom. I can't remember.)
The good thing -- according to my DH -- is that "you can do anything with plastic pipe". So, adding, moving, tearing out, or putting in a new bathroom or kitchen can always be done (and those are the worst parts of re-habbing old property).
Working together to remodel or build houses is something I've always enjoyed doing with my spouse. I suppose it is my idea of quality time spent together, my idea of fun.

@Smart Red I stand in awe. When my wife tries to help, it just starts WW3. Kids just as bad almost. We all work well alone, together, not so much.

I tried to ask MontyJ last night what color he wanted in our bedroom.... I got the answer I knew I would get... I don't care. I will leave that up to you.

I got that "I don't care answer" and he spent the next 30 years sleeping in a pink walled room with pink carpeting. Since we're not in the bedroom except when it's dark (usually) I don't imagine the color was a problem for him anyway.
When I recently redid the room, we put oak floors in and a more neutral beige on the walls. Someday soon I'll have to get something to replace the pink curtains we took down. The Western sun beats in to heat the room and the moon has been know to wake me up when it hits my eyes.

Not so. When mine says he doesn't care he means he doesn't want to think about it. I've asked what he wanted for dinner (I don't care) and then been told -- after the meal is ready -- that he doesn't care for what I've made.
