When I was about 6, my parents built a house. When they asked me what color I wanted my room, I said "Red!" So it was red. Actually it was an intense reddish coral. I had to live with that color for 8 years, until we moved.

Monty and I went over to lowes today to get some prices on things we are needing for this place! I'm hoping I can post some new pictures by the weekend of what we have gotten done.

I can't pick the paint, but I did finally get the OK to replace the kitchen cabinets and counter tops. Dew will only let me replace the lower cabinets though . We also discovered that the tub in the guest bathroom is cracked, so I have to order a new one.
Overall we should get out pretty cheap. I'm figuring $4000 total (with new electrical service and new sewer connection) which includes new carpet, linoleum, bathtub, kitchen cabinets and counter tops, accent tile back-splash, floor/wall repairs, and paint and dumpster service. It's going to be pretty nice.

@MontyJ I don't care if you replace the upper cabinets or not. That is totally your choice.

Went shopping for our carpeting and stuff like that tonight! I'm excited to get started on the remodel! It's going to be a lot of work but worth it in the end! Pictures will be posted!
