Losing trees is like losing old friends. At our old house, we were surrounded by ancient huge oak trees. One fell on our house during a hurricane. Others were so damaged, they later died and had to be taken down. All in all, on our tiny city lot, we lost 5 in our yard and 4 next door that were right on the property line. We went from deeply shaded and cool to wide open and hot.

What a hard decision to make. You have had a lot of things on your mind, a lot of changes. Big hugs.

They say that time heals and I suppose it does eventually. But as we get older times is going by so quickly! We just want to be still and have everything the way it was. But let us live in the moment, with love and grace.
