Welcome!! Indoor gardening is a tough one... Lights will surely be most important. No balcony, small yard, fire escape?? Someone once told me- you have to garden where you are. So, if you have no outside garden- inside it is. You should check out all Jackb's posts. He grows tons of great stuff, inside using hydroponics. Happy Gardening!

Welcome to TEG! I only start my plants inside, then transplant outside. It is all a learn as you go, inside or outside. We share info and learn from each other. Glad you found us!

What Lesa said, JackB really is the indoor gardening expert. He posts quite a bit here, so browse through his posts and topics for starters. Click his name then scroll down to click view all topics or view all posts.

You'll want to set up an area in your apartment with shelves and light fixtures, hopefully near a south facing window.

Remember, the most important part of a growing container is the drain holes on the bottom, so make sure those 5 gallon buckets have drain holes on the bottom.

There will be a lot to learn and you'll be having a learning curve going on.
