Be very careful in the 'hardening off' process... that's when I kill off most of what I manage to get sprouted.
What worked for me this year was to carry them out and put them UNDER the picnic table for a day. Then back inside for a few days. Back and forth as I had time for a week. Then out under the table to stay with chairs propped up to provide filtered afternoon sun for a few days. THEN, up on the table (still under the trees though). A couple days later.. no one dead.. out in the garden they went.
