Welcome from Wisconsin! Lived & gardened in San Jose (3 years) and San Diego (13 years) in the 80's - 90's. Moved in time to dodge big earthquakes in both locations. I miss the 4-season gardening.

Welcome from the Pacific Northwest! I lived in the Bay Area at the time of the big quake that collapsed the Cypress Bridge! What a doozy that one was!

We haven't been flooded yet but we aren't out of the woods yet. More storms coming.

it looks like there has been a bit of a break to let things drain off and dry out a bit before the next rounds come along.

the added snow to the mountain snow pack is important for later in the year so it is a part of the cycle of life out there. i always check how things are going because the entire water system and plumbing out there is interesting to me.

I picked some cilantro and parsley from the garden today and now I am dehydrating it so I can put it in the cabinet. Gotta get some more potting soil so I can start my pineapple plant.

The storm finally arrived. I might have to load up all of the animals and head north to the kids. I hope I don't have to go but I will if I have to.
