@akroberts… We’ll said. Those poor chickens are sick again with bird flu …. Also in the news recently passed to humans by wild backyard birds. Antibiotics are not affective on the flu bug.
Yes. Yet people still continue to be ignorant about raising chickens for their own eggs plus when they are too old for anything other than suffering we can put them down and now we have meat also. I keep waiting for Penny to start laying again after whatever it was that attacked her but she hasn't and it's been about a month or longer but she's not going to be put in freezer camp just for that. I know that my daughter in law won't get anymore eggs from me though because my son told me that if no one would take them she put them in the trash can. Talk about wasting food

I'm feeling really bummed because when I had enough eggs to sell no one wanted any and now it seems that everyone wants eggs. I'm going to have to get 54 more chickens to make it. This sucks, especially considering I still need to get the seeds started and don't have enough energy to get them started.
