Well the update on locking up the girls for integration with Mister will not be happening. I locked up the girls and let him out but I had to come inside and check on dinner and the dog outside killed him. I told my husband that I was ready to put a bullet in my 22 and put it in her brain. I'm also mad at myself for not being outside with him but it's really annoying and frustrating to know that my chickens have to be locked up all the time because she's a POS.
Same thing happened to one of our cats. I didn't get up at 5 AM one morning--slept in--to let her in and then found pieces of her in the yard.
So Sorry!! :hugs

She was posted as a "needs a rehoming". What I didn't know at the time is that she had been abused by the idiots. Between the man, woman and kid they were about 99 bricks short of having a full load. The dog is still pregnant but I am thinking about maybe squeezing her teet to see if there's any milk coming out and if so then I know it won't be long before we find out what she is going to do. We've had her for almost 7 years I think.
I went to a shelter on Friday.
DON'T.DO THIS.EVER.
I brought home a 6mo gorgeous black & cream male GS. He tried to kill one of my cats and attacked my favorite horse IN HIS STALL!!
I housed him on a chain in the other stall and took him back on Monday.
Dog ruined, and not even one year old.
Eva chases everything, and won't kill anything.
It's not the breed, it's the training, or lack of it.
We had a friend who was also a CW Reenactor. He lived in a rural area, big property, long lane.
People dumped dogs and cats and other animals ALL OF THE TIME.
He would often keep them, BUT, they had to fit in with the rest of the menagerie, or they were gone.

I have had that happen to me at another house. Someone threw 3 pups out and one we kept but one I took to the shelter and the female she was given to a lady that rehomes certain dogs and she also tries to train them. He was part yellow lab, st. Bernard and sharpay ( I don't know how to spell it).
