Well turns out when they needed to up grade system my cleaning lady was there and gave ok for windows to be wired. I had motion detector so did not need wired windows. Whole new system was put in yesterday now with cameras. My nephew was there for installation, no longer have a keypad new system run off smart phone which I dont have.

So you'll be getting a new phone?
Sounds like it's going to be more of a hassle for you now.
Why didn't your cleaning lady tell them they had to get your approval for any work to be done?

I have dug in my heels about getting a new phone, and am kind of proud of my ancient one. But it is getting tired. I have to charge it up every day now.

Her English is not the best, when she doesn't understand some thing she says yes. I learned that the hard way. Time to give up my old flip phone

NO, @Nyboy then I will be the only one hanging onto my OLD flip phone. I do not want a new phone. I do not need a phone that is smarter than me !
