This is the best time to get school supplies with all the sales going on. Every year I would purchase extras of everything during the sales. Then, later in the school year, I could sell pencils (2 cents), folders (10 cents), lined paper ream (15 cents), and spirals (10 cents) at cost. By October a spiral notebook was up to nearly $2.00 if you could find one.

Rulers, erasers, crayons, I always had them in supply. Past students often stopped in to buy what they needed as well. Didn't sell the cutesy, sparkly ones, but exactly what the teachers required.

I still have reams of lined paper left over. I believe I donated the rest when I retired, but the grands still go for my paper.
