Well... these were just wee lil plants. They're not big enough to hide any kind of bug. I don't think I started them at the right time... I think I might just have to try again in the fall. I did find a tiny little black glossy bug on the bigger plant one time... I don't know what it was.. it was MAYBE 1/4inch glossy black. And I had pill bugs eat my tomato seedlings!! It might be getting a bit late to do broccoli and cauliflower until fall.

I agree with Marshall it is only April and with a bit of TLC you will be able to replant and get good sized plants before the HOT summer... You have a very long [to me] season...I am sure you could get a good harvest before your first frost of the fall...We had snow flurries for Easter weekend...and I havent even started my toms....

Be ready if you have anything left, TN is getting frost tomorrow night and Wednesday night so it will heading toward you. I don't know how I will cover everything. I have strawberries ripening, blueberries set on and raspberries blooming, as well as, tomatoes, beans, pepper, etc. I will cover all I can. I left the 5 gallon buckets lying beside plants from last covering and sheets are still hanging outside to cover strawberries. I won't even try to save fruit on trees, have lots of peaches, plums and apples on three year old trees. Just part of gardening so take it in stride and do the best I can and start over if not successful. Just hate to lose those berries because can't start them over. CRAZY spring with everything being a month early!

Ugh..... All but 3 of the tomatoes made it. All the cukes died, the strawberries were fine, and the eggplants and peppers are toast. I will make sure to ACTUALLY cover the tomatoes and the cukes (if they sprout by then) and anything else that has sprouted. Now I just need to find enough sheets to do that with!

Iam feeling better. we are in for 2 more possible frost/freeze nights. I better not press my luck and get out here and cover.
