Now we have two Hummingbird eggs!!

This morning when my husband left for the office, he told me there are now two eggs in the nest!

From what I have read, now the incubation time begins once the 2nd egg is laid.

I do hope we are able to see the new babies grow up all safe and sound! Pray the neighborhood cats don't get any ideas for an easy snack!!

I put out cat repellant yesterday!!

I am sooo jealous. I live in central south Texas. We have the greatest concentration of hummers in September during their fall migration. Just south of me in Rockport, Texas, they have a hummer/bird festival in the middle of Sept. I will sometimes be lucky enough to have a dozen at my feeders. However, I have never been lucky enough to see a nest except in photos! One winter, I did have a rufous stay the whole season.
