Zinnias!!!! All colors, sizes, types. Easy to grow, stand up well for the most part~I have some that are almost 6 ft tall right now so aren't doing too well without some support~and bloom until hard frost.

I also love calendula...it just keeps blooming and blooming and love its cheery yellows.

Six foot tall zinnias @Beekissed ?? Wow! I've never seen them that big, did you start them from seed this year, and what variety are they? I want to grow giant zinnias next year!

Started from seed and sowed too, too many wildflower seeds along with....seemed to make them too leggy. They just supersized! Same seed sown in the garden with adequate room were just normal sized. Same bed with the giant zinnias also grew Black eyed Susan of the same height but normal height everywhere else. Go figure.

I think the flowers in that bed strain for the sunlight, as they are planted a little under an overhang. Not sure of the variety...just mixed packs of zinnias of all varieties. I think these were called Gold Medal mix and State Fair mix from Fedco but I also planted just random packs bought at the feed stores , so not sure which ones these are.
