i am going to leave it be and see what happens..theres plenty for everyone to nibble on...
once they fly the nest will put up the poultry fence wire around the bottom of the other fence,like i was going to do a month ago.

I dont want bunnies to start building nests ! They already did some damage to my garden. Maybe thats because of our desert drought.

major, take pics as the bunny family comes along. that will be cool. I don't have bunnies. my cats & dogs see to that

for anyone that wants to keep bunnies out of the garden you can get some fish emulsion and dilute it to spray around the garden. seems that bunnies don't like the smell. or you could plant your onions as a border around the garden. most animals will avoid onions.

since i found the nest have not seen any tenants move in..


but there are sure a bunch of baby bunnies hanging out under the blackberries..

I wonder what that means?!

Maybe the nest was actually there awhile and you missed it until they were grown a bit?

Maybe moles? We have them, they usually make tunnels or shallow nest under thick brush or a laid out board.
Rabbits sometimes make more than one nest, official nest would be really stuffed with hay, grass, other material.

Have you looked into the pile? Rabbit kits will cover themselves after mom leaves.

as of this morning nothing, figure with me disturbing it the nest has been abandoned....

but while ava and i were taking our morning walk found a cardinal nest in my blackberries.
