My okra plants have been desimated by the lazy ground squirrel babies wanting an easy breakfast. Yesterday, DS helped me to cage off the okra bed but I think they still managed to find their way in this morning. I swear those okra plants look more nekid today. So, DS reinforced the cage and hopefully my plants will leaf out again in time to actually produce pods. If not, its back to the freezer section of my grocery store. Its good thing that the only way I like eating okra is sliced, dredged in corn meal and fried, and that way of cookin works really well with frozen already sliced okra.
