so yours are kinda slow growing too?
They took a little bit of time to come up. Now that they have, they seem to be taking off. This is only their second or third day above ground

More of my russets are coming up.

I know Deer Park well, born in Pasadena. I am west of you down across the ship channel, down beltway 8 very close to 59. It takes me 22 minutes to 25 minutes if I drive the speed limit to get to Deer Park. Grew up in Channelview.

I am new to gardening but the Texas Gardener (very respected round these parts) Magazine says its ok to plant them from now and into May iffin you want to.

I have never hilled my okra and it just grows like crazy. I plant it up against a fence so it kinda leans against when it gets so tall.

And texture, I understand that, but I fry it up, coated with cornmeal and throw in some onions. MMMMMMM good!!

My hubby LOOOOVES okra. If he had his way, our whole garden would be nothin' but okra!
We have plenty of seeds to plant. I've already planted a row and a 1/2 already.
