onions arrived - now what

Just keep them inside in a cool place. The stores here put them outside in bins or on shelves until they are sold out. Sometimes they sit there for several weeks and they are still ok.

For some reason, I can't keep onion sets all that long.

Still, they will last for several weeks in the fridge.

All that long would be so that I could plant them in late August for a fall crop of scallions :p.

Just bought a bunch of onions tonight... going to try scallions for the first time. Now, we are just waiting for mother nature to remember it is spring!!

I've had to top the ones that I had seeded, they were outgrowing my lights and I figure it'll make them stronger, hopefully soon they can go in the greenhouse, harden them off and then in the garden.
