:yuckyuck
What color is it? Is it a pink one? I find the pink ones to be particularly sneaky! :bouquet

I wish we could have a lilac tree. :( Hubby and I wanted to plant some outside of our bedroom window so we could open the windows in the spring and smell the wonderful aroma of lilacs!

Instead we have to settle for lilac scented candles :/

Be careful with the candles, do not want to set the BR on fire! (We had a house fire 4 years ago, not started with a candle, yet they still make us nervous)

I think it is a regular Mauve specimen. It's feral, so that's probably it. It hasn't ever bloomed, but it was a very large sucker off of one that bloom the regular Mauve colored flowers.

I've got a lilac that's never bloomed and looks to be the same this year. It's the one that's purple with the white edges? Forget the name.. sensation or something like that.

Got a peony that's never bloomed either, sorbet. I dug it up last year and raised it a bit to see if that helps. All my others bloom just fine. :/

I have never seen a Pink lilac! That would be wonderful! That's my absolute favourite color in flowers.

I think Sensation is the lilac you're thinking of, Swampducks, I've seen them at nurseries before. They are amazing! I sure hope yours blooms soon. I hope mine dose, too. Mine is still quite young. Although it's 4ft. tall, it's only one stem and a few branches. I 'divided' it from it's parent plant which does bloom. Of course, it had some wounds in it's 'taproot', which I treated with a Fungicide/Phytohormone, which should both protect it from rotting and fungus, and encourage it to send out roots soon and get settled.

I was disappointed I couldn't do one here... not like the northern varieties. However, there are Japanese Lilac varieties that do grow here. My mom has one. No scent though, so totally not worth it! :P I planted gardenia instead! :D

Yeah... I have seen a "reblooming" one.. but.. I'm so leery of getting one because I don't want to get it and it not smell like the ones we had when hubby and I were growing up.
