Over fertilized potted lemon tree?

The leaves could be burned from bringing it outside and shocking the leaves with the sun. I think they do best if you bring them out for a sort period and then increase the time every day. Or even bring them out in a covered protected area.

Nacho, have you looked closely at the underside of the leaves? I'm wondering if there might be a spider mite issue going on with some of those white patches on the mature leaves.
But the young leaves at the top that are burnt at the tips are most likely from fertilizer burn.

So... I did go ahead and repot this fella... I tried to get as much of the spike out as I could.. but it seemed like it was almost all disintegrated??? I just put it in there less than a week ago!

There are no mites, and we did start out very slowly with the outside access. We do a couple days at 2-3 hours on nice days, and then increase it by an hour or so every other day. Nothing happened until we put the fertilizer in there.
