yes dear they are covered...

did you remember to put more electrical tape on the extension cord....:hugs

Well since you brought extension cords and electrical tape up....
remember that fun piece of equipment I have that blows snow?
I decided when I was out doing chores that I should get all my paths blown again and do the driveway too, as a favor to dh so he wouldn't have to plow when he got home.

So there I was enjoying the scenery when the machine started to skew sideways. Whaaat's going on?, thought I.

I stopped and looked at the auger, and there, wrapped hopelessly around it, was the cord that runs out to the dogs water and kennel mats in the run. I had even noted about 30 seconds earlier that I needed to stop the auger when I went over my oh-so-carefully marked cord. Yikes! Talk about ADD. Had to get my clippers and cut it off the auger. FYI, I did have the presence of mind to unplug it first.
Now there are two extension cords on my shopping list.

Thermometers dropped below zero overnight at a nearby airport but here at home there was a blanket of freezing fog ... good thing there were no planes landing here! Fog cleared this AM and the temperature dropped like a stone!

Sunrise! Since the horizon is not level here it's nearly 30 minutes late.

The temperature is 1°f at the nearest Weather Underground station. A pretty world out there. Thankfully, it will be late morning today before I have to go out in it! No choice and it's to be colder Saturday. I'd better have something to take to the Post Office that day.

It's ..

.. -4°f in the big veggie garden this morning. I'm so glad I'm not out there!

Now, it's supposed to warm. Above freezing for a few afternoons, this week. Of course, snow is likely to accompany this warmer air. Since everything on the ground is frozen, I don't think that there is any chance of a brown Christmas ;).

Icestorm in Oregon has left quite a few people without electricity ...

-15 here last night. It is snowing now, and very slowly warming up a little. I am dragging my feet on going out there to see the chickens...

Two pairs of wool socks on, @buckabucka !

Of course, your corner of the world is colder than here ... even if it's further south ;).

Let's see, @aftermidnight is further north and it's ... -4° in Victoria BC, too!! Oh, that's Celsius ... 24° on old man Fahrenheit's scale.

:) Steve
