It was warm overnight, but whoo boy! did we get some snow!
Dh got all the big stuff cleared with the quad/plow, but apparently when I gobbled up the ex cord with the snowblower I did something more than bust a sheer pin. :hide
He'll have to take a closer look, so until then it's lots of together time for me and my shovel.

Our weather man told us the low would be 17 last evening... That was great for I don't have to put plastic around the spouts of the 55 gallon barrel for the heater will keep it ok When we got up it was 7 degrees....The spouts were frozen so I had to go out and use the hair dryer on the spouts to thaw them out....The heater works great on the 55 gallons of water.. in the barrel.

It didn't matter what the weatherman said this evening. I used a piece of plastic around the spouts just to be safe...

Baby it's cold out there....

Not much snow here but it was heavy! Cleared the pathways early and the ice on them has melted.

It has been above freezing for almost 24 hours and was something over 40°f this afternoon. That high temperature may have been the warmest since mid-November!

It may be above freezing the next couple of afternoons but freezing overnight and then later, with more snow soon. Today, it was Slush City! I'd bet cars were getting stuck on some level, residential streets. Maybe, the arterials are all cleared by now, they weren't this morning! Not lots of snow here but also not enough plows.

Portland had heavy rain and their snow and icy problems are no more. I talked with my son there. Portland has only 5 de-icing trucks. I did some checking. Denver is a little bigger than Portland and it can field 90 trucks. But, there are differences between mile-high Denver and a city 50 feet above sea level.

With 2 pairs of socks, do your shoes still fit?

Mary
Indoors, I often wear my Crocs, and I have one pair that is oversized (I find croc sizes are quite varied based on what country they are made in). Outdoors, I have my muck boots that I wear for chores, and those take two pair easily too. If I want to wear two pair when cross-country skiing, I'll need bigger boots (or thinner socks!).

I am really enjoying my new mad bomber style fur hat! I have a small head, and found a great hat in children's sizes.
