Indoors, I often wear my Crocs, and I have one pair that is oversized (I find croc sizes are quite varied based on what country they are made in). Outdoors, I have my muck boots that I wear for chores, and those take two pair easily too. If I want to wear two pair when cross-country skiing, I'll need bigger boots (or thinner socks!).

I am really enjoying my new mad bomber style fur hat! I have a small head, and found a great hat in children's sizes.
Well you're just gonna have to take a picture of you wearing it to show us!

That hat looks good! Looks like it's very warm too. Over here, I don't see them in stores. Guess it's not cold enough. But what about those of us that go up to the mountains in winter?

They have these hats at LLBean, but were sold out of children's in my size. I ordered from a Canadian company and their hat has a much easier to use fastening system under the chin. And I like that the hat was made by our Canadian neighbors (instead of in China).

The Christmas ornaments and lights that I hung in my house were all made in China, I think. The clouds that have been dropping snowflakes for 12 hours are now heading to Canada.

A couple things are remarkable. One is that the snow has been falling for that many hours and yet the nearest place that measures such things says it only amounts to an additional 3 1/2 inches. Also surprising, to me at least, is that the air temperature is slightly above freezing!

The ground isn't ... above freezing and I bet we will double that 3 1/2 inches before this gentle little event concludes.

Finally, @majorcatfish is never, ever gonna upset me with his teases about being south of 35°N latitude because I'm always going to think about where he grew up. @valley ranch can attest to it -- it's one snowy piece of real estate! We can all be happy that so much of it is public land and that the great vegetable growing region of California benefits so much from the snowflakes that fall there.

If Major' is happy with where he is now, that is how it should be. Personally, I just need relief from winter darkness. If I could turn the flash on the cellphone camera off, I'd show you the Christmas lights I hung over the archway into the kitchen. We have decided to leave them on 24/7 ;). I think I might be ready to take them down in February :).

@digitS' , after two snowless winters which I really appreciated, not so lucky this year :(. Our first little dump didn't amount to much other than it froze and became very dicey walking. The ground is still frozen so what little we had is still kicking around at least the roads are clear but looks like that won't last much longer. You say it's heading our way, really, I don't mind one little bit if you keep it.

We really haven't had snow to speak of since then but it looks like we're going to get it this year.
I just bought the complete series of 'All Creatures Great and Small' to help while away the winters hours, also got the crossword puzzles out again. Turkey dinner tonight at our daughters then they're heading up to their daughter in the interior to spend Christmas night with her family. Geez that last picture reminds me of the last winter we spent in Ocean Falls, yep I'd say just about as much. Come on spring, but in the meantime Merry Christmas everyone.

Steve, I'm so jealous that you have been seeing snowflakes for 12 hours! I so want snow up at our cabin but I've been checking the web cam up there and nothing. :( It is supposed to snow today and tonight up there but will be sunny all week while we're up there. I love to be all cosy and seeing snow fall.
