Am I the ONLY person here who has saved all of the uncracked containers from the vegetables and flowers I bought, only to reuse them every year? :pop

(I DO throw away the cracked ones...usually)
I save mine, and a little trick for the super thrifty, take two cracked containers and make one almost strong one! Now that's thrifty!

Ha... I have a shed full! I don't buy plants anymore, but I collect nursery pots/trays from family, friends, neighbors...

I share a lot of the seedlings I start and ask for the pots back, but my fear of running short of pots has led me to duct tape some cracked ones... works great!
It seems the taped ones always get returned to me ...

Hi,

As for the little six pack stuff...no, I don't save those. As for the 4 inch pots, I only keep around about two dozen or so. I save the 1 gallons, 5 gallons, and 15 gallon sizes.

If a project comes up where I need these six-packs I have an unlimited supply. One of my friends here in Las Cruces owns Enchanted Gardens Nursery, and she lets me take what I need; I can even get those fun plastic trays.

In the past, when she gets too many, I have volunteered to deliver them back to the supplier. She gets credit on the 1 gallon and up sizes.

She typically gives me something to put into my garden! :love

I think you guys have me figured out though, I am a stickler for clean areas! I hate clutter and I hate debris laying about. I would move the house if it got in the way! :gig

I save them all!!! But, my favorite is the cardboard milk containers, cut in half. They are strong and hold enough dirt, so they don't dry out every minute. And, they fit together perfectly in my cold frame. Reuse, Recycle!!
