... on the thread I came about losing my pear trees in another area. I've been very sick and unable to discover why so I've been moody. Usually when I'm sick, I complain a lot. I won't lie, I'm a total BABY when it comes to being sick, and I get a lot of colds and junk. *blah*

Anyways, thank you all for the understanding and well wishes. I got my bloodtests back today and everything appeared fine. We tested my thyroid, anemia, vit-D, kidneys and liver. They're all good. So we sent out more tests today, they're thinking its Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Though it'll be 2 days before those come back, we're treating it anyways starting now. It may take 3-4 days before I show signs of getting better. So fingers crossed we've caught it, and thank you for your patience and friendships! :hugs
You have my best wishes... I think every one understands.. you are important to us.

You guys are the best! :hugs

Usually when things are bad, I fall back on my garden. Its where I collect myself, find comfort and really bring back the feeling of accomplishment I need to get through my day. :watering

When I miss out on it, and it starts to look like I feel... its scary because I'm not out recooping myself. When I'm not working, or with the animals and garden I'm here. My daughter adores our time together, and she'll go out and pick some stuff for me, or feed the chickens and check on them for me. But that's something I like to do with her. Even though mommy is sick, she's still been upbeat... but bored. Playing games on the computer and barbies are fun for awhile, but we'd rather be outdoors.

Then again... its like 105 today! :sick I guess we would have lost that battle anyways! :coolsun <---- evil sun!

I still haven't gotten notification from the Dr on those last bloodtests. They were supposed to be in today, and they are not all back. So I'm getting REALLY annoyed and bothered waiting. I mean really... who wants to wait! Its been a week since we started trying to diagnose this, and its now been over 2 weeks since this all started going downhill.

Thankfully, I can just come here and vent vent vent... Not at you all of course, just in general. Until I can go back out into the garden and apologize and explain everything to my tomatoes and peppers. I don't think my cukes wanna hear it... I gotta yank them all out, and they'll think that's unforgivable!!! :smack

I can't believe I have to come here today to say this... but the test results are still not back in and reviewed?!

Actually 5 are back 1 is not, and apparently I am not the most important patient as Monday's are crazy and they don't have time to really help me right now. :(

I am angry beyond words, and I don't feel much better either. :rant

Sometimes I think the patient is more like an after-thought to some providers... :hide

UNC was supposed to call me after my surgery there...never did. Duke was supposed to call my SIL after her surgery there; nada. It's a bit discouraging.

Hope you hear something soon, v. :hugs

I think it takes more employees in a Dr office to file insurance then to give patient care! Because my claims from them have been filed, and quickly too! :somad

Ok, I had to go get my records yesterday and bring them to my new doctor's office. Those tests came back and were missing information. To top it off the dr at the old office had the audacity to tell me I have Mono yesterday after I had to show up and person and demand my records to get an idea of whats been going on.

I brought the old test to the new doctor to find out this...

I do not HAVE mono, but I had mono previously. The test concluded I had antibodies detected but the levels were so low suggested I had already recovered somewhere between 3 weeks and 2 years ago! LOW levels for Mono. I could quite simply feel terrible still but I shouldn't be suffering this badly at this point. However, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever came back negative. Again, all the levels they tested for came back with 'minor' readings... not high enough to trigger a positive but since all levels were there the doctor does say I do have RMSF and false negatives come back for it all the time. The doctor should have noted the levels and how to read them correctly.

So this is it... I'm in 'recovery' and treatment... I actually had 2 rare diseases at the same time. So I had Mono & RMSF.

The bad news however, there may in fact be a 3rd infection... if I am STILL feeling like this in 2 weeks I have to go back for the follow up and we'll try to figure out what and where a 3rd infection has come from.

Next week I am going to a dermatologist as we think all this has happened because I do have an autoimmune disease by the obvious pseriosis I have. They want to me to try some new drugs for that, as they think most of these infections are getting into my system through the damaged skin. Time to nip this in the bud!

Thanks for you all hearing me out and giving me such strength through all this... its been a rough several weeks, and I just wanna get back to my garden and my family. :D

Well, V, at least it seems there's some light at the end of the tunnel for you. I applaud you for taking the initiative and going to a new Dr.
I have a family member with a serious health problem and my mom has been her advocate and fighter for years, even educating herself on the malady and at times having to educate the Dr.s.
Hope things start looking up for you soon and that you get educated, interested Doctors to help you.
Hang in there girl! :)
