I just bought my first peach tree this year, I got it for the spring flowers. If I grow peaches thats a extra!! Do they need to be sprayed like some fruit trees?

Ibought a peach tree too this year. I don't know what came over me. If it thrives I'll be pleased but I'm not holding my breath.

Yea! Such pretty flowers they are too. I have on my calendar that mine bloomed March 17th last year, but that is a little earlier than usual. It snowed all day yesterday (but didn't stick), so no early spring for us here. Does anyone else here nearly lose their mind those last few teasing days of winter? I want it to be OVER!! :p

You are just slightly ahead of us. I can see the buds and it should be in teh next few days. My trees are 4 years old. Should I let them fruit? I'm thinking at least a few...:drool

Like Journey, my peaches bloomed very early last year. This year they are not even at bud swell yet. Damn that groundhog!
