I used to have peach trees in CT. They did just wonderfully!
I did have peaches on 2 of the 3 trees we have last year. Lots feel off, the tree sheds what it can not handle. The one's that stayed were small... but really juicy and pretty! I'm hoping this year, stronger tree... more or maybe bigger peaches. I'll be very patient with them either way.
And yes, you have to spray peach trees like apples and pears. They are prone to brown rot, and the fungus sucks the life out of the fruit turning them brown and wrinkly as they grown. My neighbor deals with it, but I spray neem oil in the winter, and I haven't had that issue yet. He started spraying his, so his should be doing better. His almonds got it too though.
Last year was the first year my peach tree started to produce it was covered in peaches alittle bigger than golf balls and then... they all turned brown and fell off!!!!
I had to spray my tree this year for brown rot. I can only pray that it will do better this year! :watering
Good luck with your trees and produce!! :coolsun
