Peeing into the compost pile

I wouldnt have to put some lime on the pile would I?

I don't, and it works fine; and I know lots of otehr people who do the same; so, at least I think it's fair to say you don't *have* to, to get good compost. (Whether it would be good or bad, I can't say).

If your soil tends toward acid, I'd rather lime the garden than the compost pile, personally.
