Branching Out
Deeply Rooted
We have had several frosty mornings, yet for some reason this did not bother the Basque Hot peppers that were growing in what is now the coolest, shadiest part of the garden (it is a hot spot in summer, but the sun doesn't reach it come autumn). It makes me wonder if this variety might have a bit more cold-tolerance than what is typical. The green growth froze, but the actual peppers still feel nice and firm. They may be destined for Chicken Tortilla Soup later this afternoon.
