@Carol Dee ,

I can imagine you providing the same kind service as you do with birthdays.

Information Sharing on what might be a rather grand scale. No, you do quite enough as it is out of the kindness of your heart. Above and Beyond ...

it would be nice to have a separate " recipe " section....

I'm totally open to this idea!

Usually what we do is look to see if there are already a bunch of posts about something before creating a section for it. That way we can gauge interest and then if/when staring the new section, we can move stuff into it.

@sumi should check out this thread and the ideas / suggestions! :D

@Nifty a new section for recipes would be really nice, so many recipes have been posted over the years, they are lost in all the rest of the posts
theres 80 pages in the The Harvest: Recipes, Canning, Preserving board. would be wonderful for all the members to share their recipes in one area without digging through page after page......

nothing wrong with a board with multi sections in it, would think it would be easier for members to navigate...

years ago revamped a fishing board for the administrator

Digging this back up :)

It might be a while until we add an "article" system to TEG, but for now I'd suggest we run with this:
  1. I can setup a "my garden" or similar type of field that will display in member's profiles
  2. A member can create a thread about their garden, etc.
  3. They can add the link to that thread in their profile
How's that sound?

as long as i can link to an existing thread or you can move one there i'm good with about anything. :)

as for finding things, the search box does work, i'm not sure how heavily the indexing for this site is, but it seems to be pretty good coverage from what i've searched.

you guys do a great job and are very responsive.
