@digitS' Steve, add a new character to my list. This popped out of the camera today. Any guesses or should I tell you? o_O

Mockingbird?

(Sorry, not digitS. )

I like mockingbirds. I don't know if they live here, but when I was growing up I enjoyed their songs, filled with the bits of other birdsongs, and improvisations of their own.

Hey!

Listen to that @thistlebloom, she's is quick! We have Sage Thrashers a little ways out into the Columbia Basin and they are quite common down in the Oregon desert.

If you like grey birds, and what's not to like, we have the Townsend's Solitaire. I think that they are quite a special bird. They seem to behave quite a bit like their Robin cousins but they are grey and kind of sleek looking. Maybe they are somewhat solitary but I've only seen them in pairs and never more than that.

Steve
