I had a little aloe on a kitchen window for years. Then one day it just shot up and needed to be be moved to my greenhouse.

My neighbor just told me her cat died from nibbling on their aloe plant. I looked it up and indeed it is toxic to cats. My greenhouse had a screen door so they can't get in. Who knew?

I didn’t know about aloe being poisonous to cats either.

These are so pretty. I can’t believe how white they are. I think I’m going to try and find a fungi identification guide. We have about 8-10 different kinds at our cabin up north.

Thanks! If it helps you identify, they are growing on a pin oak stump that was infested with ants last year..

I don't know how they survive the cold.
