Really makes mine look kinda scrawny. They sure get enough to eat at the bird feeders!

I use my unheated, insulated garage to winter deciduous tender plants. There, the temps normally stay above freezing. Some of my plants stay in the basement for six to seven months. In the greenhouse, I mostly keep plants that can be cajoled in to blooming in winter.

The plant in background with blue flowers is a streptocarpella. It makes a fantastic houseplant that is almost ever-blooming. Here is a better view:

I have two plumerias, though. They have not ever bloomed!

Where did you get you plant? I have been duped a couple of times at Flower Shows where they hawk the dead sticks that they say will root. Your plumeria is spectacular!

It came as a rooted 10" potted plant from Hirt's Gardens, in Ohio. hirts.com I have had it for about three years. It is a bit over 4' tall now! It has been by my kitchen window since late winter. The buds formed on it while it was in the house.
