I was just admiring a pink one with a background window of snow-covered landscape. The wintry surroundings made it look so fragile.
I didn't think to take a picture but I doubt if the camera could have been at all successful in bringing together the scene.
Snow was falling as I admired the orchids but that, for sure, would have been lost in any attempt this photographic incompetent could have accomplished. But. Even a @Nyboy green Phalaenopsis would have evoked sympathetic sentiments in that setting.

I was looking at the photo closely and it looks like a little alien creature is hiding in there.

With our unusually warm weather for February, our thaw continues. I can't help but think that each layer in the rock probably represents hundreds of thousands of years.
