Garden Master
there you are! glad to see you back posting again.
For you Southerners this is no big deal. A red tomato on June 18. Unheard of here in Massachusetts except with extra effort. I started a few plants indoors in January. I have been eating cherry tomatoes for some time. But I put this Bid Dena outdoors when it was large and had blossoms and a few fruit. A more normal time for us is mid July. So this is a big brag up here.View attachment 41433
They definitely are not as prolific when I put out a big plant. Just enough for a salad and a sandwich. I will probably eat it today. I will report back with my critique.for us it is usually mid-August or later, but we don't plant out until the end of May and the starts are not that big. if we took a few of the larger potted plants from the greenhouse we could get earlier tomatoes, but i'm busy enough here as it is, i don't really want things to be ready too early. like this year i had strawberries a bit earlier and still had planting to get done.
❤ congratulations on the POW!!
